PostSubject: Looking for new shoes   Tue Mar 07, 2017 1:37 pm

The ones I've had are falling apart (I've had and worn these Reeboks since the fall of 2014, so they've been really good shoes while they lasted), so I'm looking for something good that could replace them. Basically what I need:

- Something that won't exceed $130
- Something that can withstand going long distances
- Needs to be available in my size (Size 13 and should be no narrower than Normal)
- Can withstand going through a workout

I won't be getting it right away, but I want to know what's there because my next paycheck should be coming in on Friday, so yeah, post some promising shoes for me to take a look at. Smile Thank you in advance!

Lol what a random thread Laughing

You can't go wrong with some brown Sketchers, they will go with almost every type of trousers. I don't really liek shoes with laces, unless they're short and can be hidden by the end of the trouser leg.

I've looked at some shoes online today and some looked promising. Problem is most of them were pretty pricey. I could got to Finish Line, Foot Locker, or Famous Footwear for something cheaper and closer to home, so I might just take a look tomorrow and see what's there. There's advantages and disadvantages to both tactics.

I could post a shortlist on what I'm thinking about getting when I finish browsing?

I got a pair of hot pink Nikes in really good condition at Goodwill for $5. This in no way helps you, but I really like telling people about them.

Yeah, I was already advised against Nikes, and Goodwill is even further than the Payless (one of my friends on Tengaged suggested I try Payless).

So either I would have to get my pair from the mall or find something online. I looked at brooksrunning.com and some pairs look promising albeit pricey.

You should try this site out, it's pretty cool. You can bid on items or sometimes buy them outright. It's called eBay Laughing

Under armour has go cross training shoes. I don't really know what means but I use them for running, basketball and tennis and theyve been good for all of them.

Well, I'm back from the mall and I have come back with a shortlist of shoes that appeal to me and that I think could fit my needs. Here's what I've jotted down:

FROM SEAR'S:

Reebok Run Supreme 2.0 black/white alloy for $60
Reebok Sublite TR red for $60
FILA Headway 7 Msil/blue for $40
FILA Isotope Navy for $30
FILA Memory Maranello (Charcoal?) for $60

FROM MACY'S BACKSTAGE:

RBX Training for $20
RBX Spawn for $20

FROM SHOE DEPT. ENCORE:

New Balance Trail Running (color Unknown) for $60
FILA At Peake 17 Outdoor for $35
FILA At Peake 16 for $35
Reebok Runner Memory Tech. for $50
Adidas Cloud Foam vs. City for $45
Adidas Vigor Bounce Red/Yellow for $70
Converse White/Black for $60

FROM CHAMPS SPORTS:

Adidas Superstar for $70, though that's the sale price. Original is $80
New Balance MJ Eclipse for $80
Under Armour Draft Clutch for $40

FROM PAYLESS: (turns out there was actually a Payless Shoe Store at the mall Laughing)

Champion Flexion for $30
SafeTStep for $50 (Water-resistant, so it'd be good for rainier days)

FROM FINISH LINE:

Adidas Alpha Bounce Black for $100
Sleeve Disc for $60 Sale. Original price is $130
New Balance Encap Molten Metal for a sale of $50. Original is $75
Charge Ult. TR for $50
KD Trey Tropical for $80 Sale. Original price is $125
KD Trey Aqua for $70 Sale. Original price is $115
Crossover for $70 Sale. Original price is $140

FROM FAMOUS FOOTWEAR:

Columbia BirkeTrail for $80
Asics Gel. Venture Charcoal for $65
New Balance Trail Running for $72
Sketchers Memory Foam Sport for $65
Vans Atwood for $60

FROM JCPENNY OR BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY:

JC: FILA Memory Workshift Black for $60
JC: New Balance Trail Running for $65
Burlington: Jahlil-C Athletic for $30
Burlington: T639N.9707 Athletic for $30
Burlington: Nike Lunar T1 for $50

So let me know which of these you'd actually recommend and which to stay away from! I think this is a good list to start with. ^_^

I want to help you, but I really know nothing about men's shoes. I don't really wear sneakers much either, so it's not like I know women's comparison.
