1. Jaymes Young - What Is Love (Original artist Haddaway)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRHYazTx8uY
The sound isnt bad but its just too slow. While I am listening to it I keep expecting it get a dance beat to it. It was okay but I like the original more.(5/10)

2. Amy Winehouse - Valerie (Original artist The Zutons)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMzN9sIFI9g
I didnt recognize this one so I listened to the original first. Not a fan of Amy Winehouse but I do enjoy her cover better than original. Her voice is so much better than The Zutons, it seems to fit the song better. (6/10)

3. Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes (Original artist Jackie Deshannon)
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZouXuAfwz8
The original is pretty good but Kim Carnes does a better job with the song. It might be because the cover is what I am used to because both are good. (9/10)

4. Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Original artist Robert Hazard)
https://youtu.be/PIb6AZdTr-A
I love this song. It is a song that I can not imagine anyone other than Cyndi Lauper singing it. The cover is 100 times better than the original/(10/10)

5. Gary Jules - Mad World (Original artist Tears for Fears)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N3N1MlvVc4
I am not sure I have heard this song at all. Yes I have heard this on a movie and I enjoy both versions but the cover is better. Lol had to find out where I heard it, it was Riverdale. Anyways good pick.(9/10)

6. Whitney Housten - I Will Always Love You (Original artist Dolly Parton)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JWTaaS7LdU
I am sorry this may make some people upset but I find Whitneys cover overrated. Whitney sings it great but Dolly has a softer voice that makes it sound better. They are still both good though.(5/10)

7. Eva Cassidy - Fields of Gold (Original artist Sting)
https://youtu.be/9UVjjcOUJLE
Not much of a Sting fan but his version is decent but the cover is so much better. She has such a nice voice I will have to go listen to more of her stuff. Good pick(8/10)

8. Tori Amos - Smells Like Teen Spirit (Original artist Nirvana)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vB2c7_vyBSM
I remember the day Nirvana's video of this debut on MTV. It was a cold September night in 1991. Anyways that video to me is what started the Grunge era. Enough about how old I am. I am not sure that anyone could cover that song and do it justice for me. Tori Amos's verzion sounds like it belongs on the Frozen soundtrack. Its a no for me.(5/10)

9. The Clash - I Fought the Law (Original artist The Crickets)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AL8chWFuM-s
I really like both versions, they both sound like the era they are from and that is what makes them good. Good pick(9/10)

10. Bastille - We Can't Stop (Original artist Mikey Cyrus)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pZi7CXE2ac
Not a fan of Miley. The cover would be my preference if I had to listen. Not a fan of the song either. (5/10)

What is love: I thought this was cute but hard to top the original. Haddaway’s version is a 90s classic. 6/10

Valerie: One of Amy’s best songs. Good choice! 10/10

Bette Davis Eyes: Love me some good 80s jams! At least i think this is 80s?? 9/10

Girls Just Wanna Fun: AMG my jam!!! Another good choice, hard to imagine this is a cover cuz this is so iconic. 10/10

Mad WOrld: Soft and slow just how I like it. This song, I mean. 9/10

I WIll Always Love You: Legend. Iconic. Never heard the Dolly version. 10/10

Fields of Gold: The Sting version is really good but I really like this too! She can sing! 9/10

Smeels like teen: idk, like I liked this but the original is so good and iconic and this doesn’t even come close to same level of impact but it’s not bad?? I wouldnt call it better than the original though. 7/10

I fought the law: i like this song, so catchy!! 9/10

We cant stop: anything is really better than the miley version. I like some miley songs, i dont like this one, but i like this cover! 8/10

ROUND 5 RESULTS

1. CHERRY:
Jaymes Young - What Is Love (Original artist Haddaway)
6+5+6= 17

2. NEIL:
Amy Winehouse - Valerie (Original artist The Zutons)
10+6+10 = 26

3. BOBBY:

7+9+9 = 25

4. BRIA:

9+10+10 = 29

5. TOM:
Gary Jules - Mad World (Original artist Tears for Fears)
9+9+9 = 27

6. DANA:
Whitney Housten - I Will Always Love You (Original artist Dolly Parton)
6+5+10 = 21

7. MARK:

LEADERBOARD:
1st:Nat = 118 (28+20+21+21+28)
2nd:Bria = 114 (22+26+27+10+29)
3rd: Tom = 114 (19+21+25+22+27)*

10th:Turner = 89 (16+20+20+14+19)

So this is how the table ends up. Bria and Tom have the same score but Bria had more game wins so I'll place her 2nd, and Tom 3rd, for the sake of the next match ups!  I'll follow with that next and reveal who the mystery judge is, too...Hold onto your seats, folks!! bounce

2.  Bria: +114
3.  Tom: +114
4.  Bobby: +111

So lets take a fixture for example. Bria V Dana. Dana is 19 points behind Bria, so lets say she got 37/40, that would put her on 132, Bria would need to score 17/40 or less for Dana to win? That's not going to happen Laughing you'd have to bomb badly and the people at the bottom would have to have the round of their life. Look at Turner, 29 points behind Nat Laughing that's impossible. Even Thanasis has a 12 point gap to make up. That's possible, but overall these deficits are too much to ask. The only one realistic is me against Mark and a 3 point gap to make up.

I don't need any advantage in points to beat Cherry. I can beat her with both hands tied behind my back. Host, take away my advantage.

Wait, what? T.ears I did not know how this game worked lolz. I think I skimmed past the point where things are cumulative forever, I thought it was just gonna be brackets and your advantage for accumulating a lot of points previously was that you got a weak opponent (like Nat is likely to outscore Turner even without an advantage).

This is a fun concept, but there is too big of a points gap and 4 of the 5 people eliminated are already set in stone haha.

We've discussed it before,  Neil. Conversely is it fair for the players who did well previously to not go through? Should their efforts previously just be for nothing? There's 40 points up for grabs, it is still possible to beat your opponent if you do well enough/your opponent does crap.
