The Road to El Dorado Empty

I just typed up a whole review and closed the window. Ugh.

I watched this movie for the first time a few days ago and was really impressed with it. I've heard it didn't perform well at the box office because it was pitted against The Emperor's New Groove was similarly Mesoamerican-inspired, but this movie is way better IMO. It was animated really well and was reminiscent of The Hunchback of Notre Dame in that it explored more mature themes including human sacrifice, vague references to religion, drugged up prisoners, slavery, and other unpleasantries of history that you'd generally expect a kids movie to gloss right over. There's even a pretty obvious oral sex scene Laughing

Yeah it's pretty underrated, but it's a real gem of the 2000's.
